Baldwin Park First Friday Festival and Art Stroll
October 8, 2013 by Scott Parker

Baldwin Park, just 3 miles from downtown Orlando
If you love the pedestrian friendly lifestyle, then you have must pay a visit to Baldwin Park. Baldwin Park is a beautiful neighborhood located just 3 miles outside of downtown Orlando. When you visit Baldwin Park, you will have a hard time believing that this 1,100 acre bustling neighborhood was once a former Navy training center. Today, Baldwin Park is home to approximately 8,000 residents and this neighborhood knows how to have a great time. Case in point, Baldwin Park First Friday Festival & Art Stroll.

My wife, Kristi, as some of you may know has a side business called Welcome Home Wreath. She was lucky enough to have one of her customers tell her about this great event to show her craft. The First Friday Festival & Art Stroll, is on the first Friday of every month from 5:30pm to 9:30pm.

With over 50 vendors, this event is family friendly and pet friendly. As you stroll down the palm lined streets of Baldwin Park during First Friday, you will encounter restaurants, various store fronts and a great frozen yogurt store near the water. During First Friday you will also encounter various kinds of live music. We personally enjoyed the sounds of Latina music as well as some good ole Jazz.
Kristi and I took turns visiting the many vendors and we had a few favorites. One of the first vendors to catch our eye was Dirt Floor Furniture. When we first saw their pieces we thought Farm Pieces Gone Rad! What this guy could do with a wooden flat was awesome.
