Today, my family and I spent the day at Animal Kingdom and what a great day we had. We were able to tour the African Savannah on Kilimanjaro Safari with our friend, Chris Lowry, as our guide. Our 5 year old daughter, Jayla, was able to travel up the forbidden mountain, Expedition Everest, for the very first time and yes, she kept her eyes open and saw the Yeti! Surprisingly, she LOVED the roller coaster and we road it 4 times, twice in the front car, once in the middle and once in the very back. We also encountered many characters. We chatted with Donald, sang Bare Necessities with Bloo, monkeyed around with King Louis, talked about wildlife with Pocahontas, danced with Chip ‘n Dale and had a grand ole time visiting with Mickey and Minnie.
As great as all of that was today, my absolute favorite thing we did today was sit down and enjoy the God given talent of the cast members in Disney Animal Kingdom’s – Festival of the Lion King. I believe the vocals in this show are amazing and should never be missed.
