One thing I have missed since relocating to Orlando is my old Food Truck Park in Fort Worth, Texas. As a Food Truck groupie, it was always comforting to know that I could count on my favorite trucks rotating through food truck park.
I’m happy to share with you starting in early November, there will
be FOUR new Disney Food Trucks rolling into Downtown Disney. The food trucks, each having a “Disney food” theme, will be in operation Wednesday through Sunday each week. The new Disney food trucks will be set up at Downtown Disney West Side near House of Blues and Cirque de Soleil. The food trucks that will be representing their different flare are Namaste Café, Superstar Catering, Fantasy Fare Truck and World Showcase of Flavors Truck.
Namaste Café will have offerings such as butter chicken, slow-cooked beef short ribs and tandoori spiced shrimp. All entrees will be served with basamati rice, naan and pickled veggies. Namaste Cafe is being promoted as the “Tasty Exploration of Animal Kingdom”.
Superstar Catering will a spinach and feta beef meatball sandwich, turkey and golden raisin meatballs on polenta and a lamb meatball flatbread with tzatziki. They will also have meatball sliders for kids. Superstar Catering is being touted as “Favorite of the Stars of Disney Hollywood Studios”.
The Fantasy Fare truck will be offering dishes from Disney’s Magic Kingdoms around the world. Think hand-dipped corndogs of Disneyland, Croque Monsieur with homemade chips from Magic Kingdom and glass noodle salad with chicken and pickled veggies from Hong Kong Dinseyland.
World Showcase of Flavors will bring the best of the best flavors from the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival. They will offer lobster rolls, pierogies and kielbasa and grass-fed beef sliders.
I’m excited that the fun and whimsical dining adventure known as Food Trucks will now be an option at Downtown Disney and I can’t wait to visit each of them in the very near future!
