One of my favorite places to go on the Space Coast is Jetty Park at Cape Canaveral. Jetty Park is the closest beach access from the Port and a quick day trip from Orlando. It’s the perfect place to spend a few hours either before your cruise sets sail or after leaving the ship.
You seem to always find fishermen on the pier. On this day they were catching Flounder.
Lot’s of wildlife can be seen when visiting Jetty Park. This sea turtle was HUGE! I often see smaller sea turtles right along the rocks. This guy was by far the largest I’ve seen.
Lots of dolphins and it never gets old seeing them!
The beach at Jetty Park is very pretty and there are vendors that rent chairs and umbrellas.
It’s so much fun to relax here and watch the large cruise ships pass by.
Recently, I was able to watch the launching of the Atlas V from the beach.
This pavilion has a snack bar, small gift shop, restroom and changing facilities.
There is also a campground and playground for the little ones. Jetty Park also offers free parking. More information on Jetty Park can be found here.
