Universal Orlando is continuing to enhance their theme park experience by offering a new mobile app and offering free wifi to guests at theme parks Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure and Universal CityWalk. You may recall in recent months we shared with you that Disney also increased it’s wireless capabilities throughout the park. You can read that story here.
The free app offering by Universal Orlando will be available for Apple and Android devices. Some of the key features will be wait times, park maps, a favorites list and show times.
One thing we found interesting is the map for Universal Studios shows the NEW Diagon Alley additions, including the fire-breathing dragon atop the Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts thrill ride. Currently, however, the new app does not give information about the Diagon Alley attractions.
Along with the free app, Universal Orlando is now offering FREE park-wide mobile Internet access through Xfinity. The new wi-fi coverage will include main walkways, queues and many of the dining and shopping areas.
Do you want to take advantage of the new internet access? Guest will need to select “xfinitywifi” signal on their mobile device and follow the prompts to access the service.
