Blue Man Group launches their second annual Drum Off at the Florida Music Festival, April 16 -18.  Interested musicians submit videos, and semi-finalists are chosen on the basis of Creativity, Technical Ability and Musicality.  Semi-finalists play live for the judging panel, and 5 finalists will each perform a 90-second session in front of the roaring crowds on the mainstage at the Florida Music Festival on Saturday night, April 18, immediately prior to the headlining band.

The judges and the crowd reaction will determine the Grand Prize Winner, who will receive a prize package valued at over $5,000 from Blue Man Group, DW Drums, Sabian, Remo and Vic Firth.

Blue Man Group is an international sensation known not only for the three bald and blue characters, but also for the LIVE music that propels the show to an unforgettable climax. Over the years, some of the most talented musicians in the world have played for Blue Man Group, including Tim Alexander (PRIMUS), Blas Elas (SLAUGHTER), Bruce Gordon (I MOTHER EARTH) and even Fred Amisen (SNL, Portandia)!

“Blue Man Group is thrilled to partner with the Florida Music Festival to create this opportunity for musicians to show off their skills to thousands of fans at the event, and, hopefully, head home with an incredible prize package,” said Ola Wawryn, Resident General Manager of Blue Man Group at Universal Orlando.
