Have you ever body board or surfed indoors? Well now is your chance! My kids and I recently took advantage of a rainy afternoon and made our way over to Fantasy Surf. Fantasy Surf features the patented system that has the look of surfing and wake boarding, ride of snowboarding, and tricks of skateboarding. The thrills and techniques developed from this water experience have even spawned a new competitive sport – Flowriding!
Our kids (and the adults we saw too) were having a blast. Anyone can learn to flowride, especially with the great instructors that Fantasy Surf has on hand. Fantasy Surf does require that you be at least 42″ tall for the body board and 52″ tall for the to stand up. They also recommend that a child be at least 5 years old. We took advantage of the 30 minute sessions for $20 each. A 1 hour session was priced at $32 per person. Fantasy Surf also allows you to host special events and birthday parties and just like the theme parks, Fantasy Surf also offers Annual Passes.
As spectators, I believe we had just as much fun as the kids. It was amazing how quickly our 3 kids caught on. Jayla remind on the body board controlling her movement with her feet, while Benjamin and Lane were both popping up on their knees on the body board controlling their movement with their hands. I know it’s mean to say, but as much fun as it was to watch them on the boards, it was quite funny when they wiped out too!
