Hot Krust Panini Kitchen #FoodFriday

If you have been following me on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and here on the blog, you know I LOVE to eat out.  Since many of you are new to Florida, I decided to start a weekly post called #FoodFriday.  Each Friday, I will highlight a local restaurant that I have visited.  Some may be part of a chain and many will be local to their city only.  Most of the restaurants mentioned in these weekly posts will be located right here in Central Florida, however as my family and I travel we will expand to other cities located in Florida as well.

The first restaurant I’d like to introduce you to is HOT KRUST Panini Kitchen located 8015 Sand Lake Rd in Orlando.  I was first introduced to Hot Krust by my dear friend ‘Biggie’ from Deli Fresh Threads.  I can’t thank Biggie enough for introducing me to this great little restaurant.

hotkrust

Hot Krust prides itself in providing freshly roasted meats that are not processed, superior customer service and a great tasting product and I will say they deliver on all counts!  The Panini’s, Salads and Soups served at Hot Krust have never disappointed.

Here are a few of my favorites.

Burgerini “HK Monster” – Only $8.99

HK_Burgerini

Huge 1/2Lb of All Natural 100% Angus Burger Patty (Not Frozen) Made to Perfection with Lettuce, Chopped Tomatoes, Onions, Melted Cheddar Cheese and Our Buffalo or BBQ-Honey-Mustard Sauce.  I personally go with the BBQ-Honey-Mustard Sauce!

Yummy Turkey – $5.99

HK_Turkeywith Havarti

This panini comes with Roasted Turkey, Havarti Cheese, Bacon, Tomatoes, Red Onions, and  Avocado.  Note, I always order mine without Red Onions.  Fresh Waffle Sweet Potatoes added for an additional $2.49 and they are worth every penny!

Cowboy Jack – $6.99

HK_cowboy jack

This delicious panini is made with Slow Cooked Steak, Horseradish Peppercorn, Black Olives, Tomatoes, Spinach, Onions and Monterey Jack Cheese.  YUM!

Cactus Chili – Cup $2.99 / Bowl $3.99 (Go with the Bowl!)

HK_Cactus Chili

I had never had Cactus Chili before visiting Hot Krust and I will say, it’s my favorite Chili.  Made with cactus, fresh ground beef, diced tomatoes, corn, onions, northern beans and spinach in a spicy broth.  I enjoy this dish even during the Florida summers! If you are looking for a restaurant to experience, I hope you will give Hot Krust a visit. You can view their full menu here. Hot Krust Hours: Mon-Fri 8:30am-8:00pm Sat 10:30am – 8:00pm Closed on Sundays

Located at the corner of Sand Lake Rd. & Turkey Lake Rd. next to Whole Foods.

Let me know what you think when you visit Hot Krust!
