Well, I’m here to tell you that after living here almost two years, there is so much to experience in Orlando….and a lot of it is FREE! February is the month of romance. This is YOUR Orlando! Brewery Tours
Check out the giant fermenting vats and learn how beer is brewed in Florida’s only organic brewery. The Orlando Brewing Company offers free tours every evening. Brewery Tours are FREE, and offered Monday – Saturday at 6 PM. The free tours at Orlando Brewery are first come first serve. They do not take reservations. You will want to see your server to get a ticket! Once the tour is over, stick around afterward to taste blonde ales, pale ales and porters.
Historical Walking Tour
History buffs will enjoy this self guided walking tour, visiting more than 20 stops along the Winter Park Historical Tour, including the Casa Feliz Historic Home Museum, the 1890 train station and 1922 vintage Park Plaza Hotel. African Culture at The Hurston
From 19th-century furniture crafted by slaves to contemporary paintings by urban children, exhibitions at the Zora Neale Hurston Museum highlight artists of African descent. The museum honors Hurston, the acclaimed 20th-century author from Eatonville, the first all-Black town in America.
Lake Eola Park
A 43-acre recreational area, Lake Eola Park is in the heart of downtown Orlando. Visitors can picnic along the shore, enjoy free concerts at the Walt Disney Amphitheater or feed the resident swans. The majestic fountain and graceful swan boats make for a relaxing setting. There’s also a great farmers market here Sunday mornings!
Wine Tasting & Tours
If you like wine, you need to visit Lakeridge Vineyards & Winery. They offer complimentary tours and wine tasting seven days a week, Monday – Saturday, 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. and Sunday – 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. Tours typically run every 30 minutes. Lakeridge offers a great selection of award winning wines. Tours and wine tasting last approximately 45 minutes.
