There are few companies in the world that really succeed at blowing away my expectations. I have a total of three: Disney, Apple, and Kingdom Camera Rentals. How can I possibly put a camera rental company in the same league as Disney and Apple? Believe me I can. Let me tell you a story.
Kingdom Camera Rentals provides a specialty rental service like no other. I first came in contact with Kingdom Camera two years ago when planning a trip to Walt Disney World. I wanted to rent a lens for my trip so I could take fantastic photos. I only own a kit lens so I thought this would be a perfect chance to try something nicer. I have a habit of checking into companies to make sure they are not going to rip me off and I googled high and low and could not come up with one single bad review. I rented and had a great time.
So naturally on my recent trip back to Walt Disney World, I rented a lens right away without hesitation. Surely they couldn’t do everything possible to make me happy two times in a row! This time I really was going to find some dirt.
For those unfamiliar with Kingdom Camera you just go to their website, reserve your package, and then the contact you to arrange pick up and drop off at the lobby of your Disney Resort. How easy is that?
Fast forward to pick up day and I meet them bright and early in the lobby. I wish I could say I was surprised that Ron was there waiting for me, but I wasn’t. We chatted a bit and then it was time for me to get the glorious 24-70 2.8 lens I had been dreaming about for a week. Ron pulls out a huge bag and tells me that Lenise knew I had really wanted to try a full frame camera so she went ahead and sent him with a Nikon D600, 24-70 lens, tripod, and filters! I almost dropped to the floor! This week was going to be fun!
The equipment was in amazing shape, and I used it constantly through the entire week. I even took my sisters engagement photos, which turned out better than I hoped due to the quality of the full frame sensor.
Once again Kingdom Camera exceeded my expectations and has firmly secured itself in my top three companies that I have ever dealt with.
